India To Support Uganda to Locally Manufacture Hydroxychloroqunine




President Museveni has revealed that Uganda will soon be manufacturing Hydroxychloroquine locally the following support from the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
Museveni revealed Tuesday while updating the country on the measures that have been put in place enhance the fight against the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
The President sais that an agreement has been reached between him and Modi where India shall be offering all the necessary support and equipment of the anti-malarial drug.

Indian Foreign affairs minister said that PM Modi and Uganda president spoke on this matter and India will supply Hydroxychloroquine as well as the raw materials to make it in Uganda.

Uganda's President thank the PM Modi for his cooperation and he also said that Uganda gets out of the imposture of being an importing country for products which we can make here, Museveni said.

It should be noted that the Director-General of Health Services in the Ministry of Health recently revealed that were treated using hydroxychloroquine and Erythromycin.

Experts say that once the country begins manufacturing the drugs locally, this will reduce the costs involved in treating the patients.
